Find your Recovery Key
You may need your Recovery Key to access your apps in your Okta Personal account on a new device or browser.
⚠️ Okta does not store your Recovery Key for security reasons, and we will not be able to recover or reset your Recovery Key under any circumstance. If you've lost your Recovery Key, please reach out to Okta Personal Support to reset your account.
Find your Recovery Key in the iOS app
You can find your Recovery Key in the Okta Personal mobile app where you’re already signed in to your account.
- Open and unlock the mobile app
- Click "Profile" on the bottom right
- Click "Account options"
- Click "Show Recovery Key"

You can find your Recovery Key in the Okta Personal mobile app where you’re already signed in to your account.

Can't find your Recovery Key?
Only you know and have a copy of your Recovery Key. Together with your Okta Personal credentials, it protects your account and apps. Okta Personal does not have a copy of your Recovery Key or any way to recover or reset it for you.
To find your Recovery Key, you’ll need one of the following:
- the Okta Personal mobile app where you’re already signed in to your account
- a saved copy of your Recovery Key (e.g. printed, saved in your personal cloud storage, shared with someone you trust)
