Access employment information from former employers
To help you access employment information you may need, like pay history or tax documents, some companies provide resources via Okta Personal.
If you’ve been given access to resources, you'll have 45 days to accept the invitation and create your Okta Personal. If you have questions about how Okta Personal works, you're in the right spot!
Remember: We’ll do our best to help you get access to Okta Personal — but unfortunately we can’t help if you’re not able to access the resources you’ve been provided.
FAQs
Why can’t I sign in to Okta Personal?
If you don’t have an Okta Personal account, you’ll need to create one first. Go to oktapersonal.com, Get started, and follow the prompts to create your account. It’s critical that you use your personal email address that your former company had on file so the resources they provided you link to your account.
Why are the resources I’ve been given access to not in my vault?
Check to make sure you’re signed in to your Okta Personal account associated with your personal email address that your former company had on file. If the email address doesn’t match what is associated with your Okta Personal account, then the resources won’t be able to be added to your account.
Why doesn’t my vault contain details like employee ID or access details?
Your former company will have provided access instructions to your personal email address on file. If your resources don’t provide instructions for how to access and you’re not able to sign in using your personal email address, then you’ll need to contact the People Operations or Human Resources team for more assistance.
Why am I not able to sign in to an app I’ve been given access to?
Make sure you’re using your personal email address to sign in to the app — not your old work email address. If you can’t log in, try resetting your password. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to contact the People Operations or Human Resources team for more assistance.
