Autofill passwords to sign in to apps

Okta Personal helps you sign into your saved apps with one click by launching and autofilling your credentials.

Set up Autofill with Okta Personal

Sign in from the web dashboard

  1. On a desktop browser, go to your Okta Personal dashboard.
  2. Click an app icon to launch the app.
  • If your app is not launching, try the following:
    • Make sure the app has a Login URL
    • Refresh your web dashboard and try again
    • Reach out to support at [email protected]
  • If your credentials are not autofilling, reach out to support at [email protected]

Sign in from the plugin

This method lets you sign in to apps from any browser window.

  1. On a desktop browser, click the puzzle icon in your taskbar.
  2. Select Okta Browser Plugin from the list of extensions.
  3. Click an app icon to launch the app.

If the plugin doesn't autofill your credentials, you can copy your username or password from the plugin.

  1. In a desktop browser, click the puzzle icon in your taskbar.
  2. Select Okta Browser Plugin from the list of extensions.
  3. Find the app you want to open and click the three dots to open the menu.
  4. Click Copy username or Copy password.
  5. Paste the copied values into the app sign-in fields.

Sign in on iOS devices

This method requires autofill to be enabled on your iOS device.

  1. Open the Okta Personal app on your iOS device.
  2. In a browser, enter the URL of the app you want to access.
  3. Go to the app's sign-in page, and then tap the username field.
  4. Select the key icon.
  5. Select the app you're trying to access from your Okta Personal apps list.
  6. When you see your credentials autofilled on the app sign-in page, submit the form.

The next time you visit this app in your Safari browser, you'll be prompted to sign in using Okta Personal. Tap Use <your username> to sign in.

Sign in on Android devices

This method requires autofill to be enabled on your Android device.

  1. Open the Okta Personal app on your Android device.
  2. In a browser, enter the URL of the app you want to access.
  3. Go to the app's sign-in page, and then tap the username field.
  4. Select Autofill with Okta Personal
  5. Select the app you're trying to access from your Okta Personal apps list.
  6. Select the in-line app suggestion on the form.
  7. When you see your credentials autofilled on the app sign-in page, submit the form
